Job summary

H&F Electrical Contractors Ltd is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and delivery on major construction projects in Ireland. Based in Limerick, you’ll manage design reviews, submittals, commissioning and handover with BIM colleagues.

A Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years’ experience on commercial, industrial or healthcare sites are required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, with working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks, and a full clean driving licence are

• Strong knowledge of electrical building services, commissioning and construction processes.

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to take the lead on major construction projects from initial design through to successful completion?

H&F Electrical Contractors Ltd is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to join our growing team for an upcoming project in Cork. As part of one of Ireland's leading electrical contractors, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of high-profile Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Government and Technology projects, working alongside experienced Project Managers, Engineers and BIM specialists.

The Role

As a Project Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the electrical engineering function on one or more construction projects, ensuring technical excellence from design review through to commissioning and final handover.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing electrical design reviews and resolving technical queries.
• Coordinating technical submittals and approvals.
• Supporting procurement and tracking the delivery of electrical equipment.
• Coordinating CAD/BIM activities with our in-house BIM team.
• Monitoring engineering progress and maintaining project trackers.
• Carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Supporting commissioning, testing, BCAR compliance and project handover.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identifying value engineering opportunities and supporting continuous improvement.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• A Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (an electrical trade background is advantageous).
• Experience delivering electrical engineering packages on commercial, industrial or healthcare construction projects(min 3 years)
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services, commissioning and construction processes.
• Experience with AutoCAD and a working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A full clean driving licence.
