About the Role

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex construction projects, supporting the electrical scope from design review through installation, commissioning, and handover. Working closely with the Project Manager, Electrical Engineering Lead, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives, you will ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

This role is ideally suited to an ambitious engineer looking to develop their technical and project delivery skills within a fast-paced and technically challenging environment.

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Project Manager and Electrical Engineering Lead on project progress, risks, and technical issues.
  • Review electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Manage technical submittals, RFIs, equipment schedules, and engineering trackers.
  • Analyse supplier and vendor information to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Identify design discrepancies, scope gaps, and constructability issues.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Support procurement activities and equipment selection processes.
  • Monitor site installation activities and ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Carry out quality inspections and system walk-downs to verify compliance and readiness for commissioning.
  • Assist with testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering records.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Electrical Project Engineer role.
  • Experience delivering electrical works within commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare or similar construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical building services and power distribution systems.
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Electrical trade background would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Revit and BIM coordination would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
