Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical building services, commissioning and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing electrical design reviews and resolving technical queries.
• Coordinating technical submittals and approvals.
• Supporting procurement and tracking the delivery of electrical equipment.
• Coordinating CAD/BIM activities with the in-house BIM team.
• Monitoring engineering progress and maintaining project trackers.
• Carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Supporting commissioning, testing, BCAR compliance and project handover.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identifying value engineering opportunities and supporting continuous improvement.

Project Electrical Engineer — Cork, Ireland — Permanent — €80,000 DOE

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established electrical contracting client for an experienced Project Electrical Engineer to join their team on a major upcoming construction project in Cork. This is an excellent permanent opportunity to take the lead on the electrical engineering function of technically complex projects — from initial design review through to commissioning and final handover — within a collaborative, well-resourced and safety-led environment that offers genuine long-term career progression.

The Role:

Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Engineers and an in-house BIM team, you will manage the electrical engineering function across one or more construction projects, ensuring technical excellence and full compliance at every stage. The client delivers high-profile projects across the healthcare, commercial, industrial, government, technology and data centre sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing electrical design reviews and resolving technical queries.

About You:

• A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering — an electrical trade background is an advantage.
• 3+ years' experience delivering electrical engineering packages on commercial, industrial or healthcare construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services, commissioning and construction processes.
• Experience with AutoCAD and a working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A full clean driving licence.
