Sanderson Recruitment (Ireland) Limited is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager for a complex construction environment in Dublin. This high impact role partners with engineering, estimation and operations to drive commercial outcomes across major capital investment programmes.

You will own the category strategy across capital equipment and related services, lead sourcing and tendering, manage key supplier relationships, and balance cost, risk and supply continuity across multiple

Procurement Category Manager - Construction

I am looking for an experienced Procurement Category Manager for a complex engineering and construction environment. This is a high impact role, close to delivery and partnering with engineering, estimation and operations to drive commercial outcomes across major capital investment programmes. You will own the category strategy across capital equipment and related services and balance cost, risk and supply continuity in a fast moving, multi site setting.

• Develop and execute category strategies across Capex and Opex.
• Improve total cost of ownership and supplier performance.
• Own key supplier relationships and move them beyond transactional engagement Lead sourcing, tendering and contract negotiations for high value specifications Partner with delivery teams from early engagement through execution.
• Provide market insight, cost benchmarking and supply intelligence.
• Build structured supplier performance frameworks and drive improvement.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risk.
• Support procurement transformation and process improvement.
• Engage senior stakeholders with clear, data led insight.
• Experience managing procurement categories in construction, engineering or capital projects.
• Track record negotiating complex, high value contracts
• Strong commercial judgement and cost focus
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and support delivery
• Structured approach to sourcing, supplier management and risk
• Confidence operating across multiple projects and priorities
• Exposure to capital equipment is important
• Engineering background is useful but not essential
• You will be delivery focused and challenge where needed.
• Build strong relationships across functions and are comfortable in complexity and pace.
• You will be legally able to work within Ireland without sponsorship and be able to fly in and out of other European countries at short notice.

Location: On site Dublin based role with travel across European projects as required.
