Job summary

Vantive in Castlebar invites a Procurement Specialist to join our Manufacturing Operations Categories on a 12-month contract. You will lead spend and market analysis, develop RFIs/RFPs, and negotiate with suppliers to secure savings across Europe.

You will drive cross-functional sourcing projects, manage supplier development strategies, and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure on-time, quality outcomes with compliant contracts and strong cost performance.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related areas.
• Proven experience in people, stakeholder and project management.
• Ability to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups.
• Strong analytic and negotiation skills.
• Experience in contracting to include MSAs, SOWs, Amendments and NDAs.
• Understanding of procurement processes, supply markets, suppliers and products.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in category management with multinational organizations.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth spend analysis and market analysis on targeted areas of spend.
• Develop RFIs/RFPs and lead negotiations for key spend areas to achieve savings targets.
• Support and, if required, lead cross-functional teams to drive sourcing projects.
• Drive effective Supplier Relationship Management with key suppliers and monitor performance.
• Register the projects pipeline in the appropriate sourcing tools and provide regular reporting as to their status and expected benefits.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure buy-in for sourcing projects.
• Apply competitive cost and process benchmarks, financial analysis, and risk management techniques to solve complex issues.
• Support in the implementation of the defined sourcing strategy and preferred suppliers across Europe.
• Generate regular reports for the category lead concerning spend under your responsibility.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure timely, compliant contracting.

Job description

The Procurement Specialist will provide global support of the Manufacturing Operations Categories. For this role you will have in-depth technical knowledge of the categories responsible for, as well as stakeholder and supplier management for Indirect Procurement. Responsibilities include proactively leading cost reduction projects, designing and proposing supplier development strategies, negotiations and contracting, making and executing decisions to ensure quality products and services on time according to Vantive’s business needs.

This a 12 month contract based at our Castlebar site.

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform in depth spend analysis and market analysis on targeted areas of spend.
• Support Sr Category Manager in the development and execution of annual saving plans
• Develop RFI/RFP and lead negotiations for key spend areas to achieve short term and long-term savings targets.
• Support and if required lead cross functional teams to successfully drive complex sourcing projects.
• Register the projects pipeline in the appropriate sourcing tools and provide regular reporting as to their status and expected benefits.
• Communicate in a professional and effective way with internal and external stakeholders (senior management and cross functional teams) to ensure the necessary buy-in for the sourcing projects.
• Apply appropriate competitive cost and process benchmarks, financial analysis, and risk management techniques to solve complex issues.
• Support in the implementation of the defined sourcing strategy and preferred suppliers throughout the sites in Europe.
• Generate regular reports for the category lead concerning the categories of spend under your responsibility.
• Drive effective Supplier Relationship Management with key suppliers and monitor performance.

Education and experience required

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related areas required.
• Proven experience in people, stakeholder and project management.
• Ability to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups.
• Strong analytic and negotiation skills.
• Business sense and ability to develop critical thinking.
• Experience in contracting to include but not be limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and NDAs.
• Understanding of Procurement standard processes, supply markets, suppliers and products.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and matrix environment.
• Understanding of pricing models and contracts terms
• Strategic, invocative and logical thinking, flexible and able to assess/manage risks
• Ability to create and maintain networks (business and functions)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in category management experience with multinational organizations.
