Job summary

Dell Technologies in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Software Principal Engineer to architect, design and develop sophisticated software systems for manufacturing and product needs. You will lead across the full software lifecycle, work within an Agile team, and collaborate with product and manufacturing groups to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will mentor engineers, apply Agentic AI concepts to streamline workflows, and help drive modern, high-performance software in a cutting-edge AI

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals.
5+ years of designing, coding and debugging complex, scalable systems.
Exposure to multiple programming languages, operating systems, databases, tools and hardware platforms.
Understanding of system, network, operating system and application-level interactions.
Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, technologies and platforms.
Strong communication and collaboration in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, testing and delivery.
Work as part of a highly motivated Agile development team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Partner closely with Dell product and manufacturing teams to gain deep insight into server and storage platforms.
Design software solutions that are scalable, secure and resilient for high-volume manufacturing environments.
Learn and apply Agentic AI technologies to accelerate development, test and manufacturing workflows.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship, setting a high bar for engineering excellence.
