Job summary

Dell Technologies in Cork is seeking a Software Principal Engineer to architect, design, and develop sophisticated software systems for manufacturing, product, and business needs. You will lead the full SDLC within a high-velocity Agile team and collaborate with product and manufacturing groups.

The role emphasizes scalable, secure, and resilient software solutions, with exposure to Agentic AI workflows and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience designing, coding, and debugging complex, scalable systems.
Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals.
Experience with multiple programming languages, operating systems, databases, tools, and hardware platforms.
Understanding of system, network, operating system, and application-level interactions.
Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and platforms.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
Work as part of a highly motivated Agile development team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Partner closely with Dell product and manufacturing teams to gain deep insight into Dell's server and storage platforms.
Design software solutions that are scalable, secure, and resilient for high-volume manufacturing environments.
Learn, apply, and help shape the use of Agentic AI technologies to accelerate development and manufacturing workflows.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship, setting a high bar for engineering excellence.
