Job summary

Uniphar's McCauley Poppyfields Pharmacy in Clonmel is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 32-hour fixed-term role. The team includes a Supervising Pharmacist and two Technicians, with a focus on accurate dispensing and efficient stock management.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply, with opportunities to work with McLernons MPS and gain experience in a busy dispensary within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our McCauley Poppyfields Pharmacy in Clonmel. This is a 32-hour (4-day) Fixed-Term position. The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, 1 Support, and 2 Technicians. This store has manageable items and services.
