Job summary

Uniphar’s McCauley Tralee Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a permanent 40-hour week. You will dispense medicines under supervision, manage stock levels, and prepare blister packs while ensuring accuracy and patient safety. Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply, with the team supported by a supervising Pharmacist.

Experience with McLernons MPS is a plus, and the role offers competitive hourly rates and uniform provision in a busy dispensary setting in Tralee.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is advantageous; newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS is advantageous.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our McCauley Tralee Pharmacy. This is a 40-hour (5-day) permanent position with the store's opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Supervising Pharmacist, 1 Support, 1 Relief, and 4 Technicians.
