Job summary

Unipharmedtech is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team at McCauley Shamrock Plaza Pharmacy in Carlow. This 40-hour, Monday–Friday role operates from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with weekends off, offering a friendly, busy dispensary environment and ongoing development opportunities for technicians.

The successful candidate will dispense medicines under supervision, manage stock, and assist with blister packs, claims processing, and daily dispensary tasks. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is preferred but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS is an advantage.
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our McCauley Shamrock Plaza Pharmacy, in Carlow.

This role is Monday to Friday every week.

This is a 40-hour (5-day) permanent position with the store's opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 6p.m. Monday to Friday, closed on Saturday and Sunday.

The team currently comprises a Managing Pharmacist, 1 Relief, and 2 Technicians.

This store has manageable items and services.
