Job summary

Unipharmedtech in Cork’s Hickey's Mayfield store is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 40-hour, 5-day-per-week permanent role. The roster runs Monday–Friday 9:00–19:00 and Saturday 9:00–18:00; Sunday closed.

The team includes a Retail Store Manager, Managing Pharmacist, 1 Relief, and 1 Technician. You will prepare and dispense medicines under supervision of the Pharmacist, manage stock, prepare blister packs, and support the busy dispensary.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy dispensary is an advantage.
• Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• Prepare and dispense medicinal products under supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Control stock levels and order medicines as required.
• Prepare blister packs and process/tracking claims.
• Report to and support the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Hickey's Mayfield store, in Cork. This is a 40-hour (5-day) permanent position with the store's opening hours operating between 9 a.m. to 7p.m. Monday to Friday, 9a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sunday. This role will only require working within a Monday to Friday roster. The team currently comprises a Retail Store Manager, Managing Pharmacist, 1 Relief, and 1 Technician. This store has manageable items and services.

Responsibilities

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
