Job summary

Gallagher Ireland is seeking a Personal Lines Account Handler to join our Wexford team. You will support clients with their personal insurance needs, turn enquiries into policies, and work as part of a team that values clear communication, accuracy and compliance.

You will build long-term client relationships, manage renewals, and support continued cover while maintaining records in the CRM. The role emphasizes accurate quotes, compliant practices, and collaborative teamwork with the Regional

Qualifications

• APA qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Experience working towards sales targets while giving clear customer service.
• Able to build rapport with clients and communicate clearly by phone and in writing.
• Able to explain cover, pricing and policy details in simple, accurate language.
• Organised approach to managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Willing to complete the relevant annual CPD requirement and maintain Minimum Competency Code requirements.
• Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound sales calls to speak with prospective clients and convert leads into policies.
• Assess client needs and recommend suitable insurance products.
• Prepare and present quotes, explaining cover details and benefits clearly and accurately.
• Follow up on enquiries and quotes promptly to help improve conversion rates.
• Contact existing clients to discuss policy renewals and support continued cover.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services.
• Manage lapsed or at-risk policies and work to re-engage clients.
• Support clients with queries, complaints or escalations in a professional and timely way.
• Build long-term client relationships through a reliable and trustworthy service.
• Keep all sales and retention activity in line with regulatory requirements and Gallagher policies.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, quotes and sales using the CRM system.
• Stay up to date with changes in insurance products, pricing and compliance requirements.
