Job summary

CPL Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Person in Charge for Intellectual Disability Services in Ireland. You will lead residential centres, ensure HIQA-aligned governance and deliver person-centred care that upholds dignity, choice and independence for service users.

You will manage teams, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary colleagues, and drive continuous improvement in care planning, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree with NMBI registration or Level 8 Social Care degree.
• Minimum 3 years management experience in health or social care.
• Management qualification at NFQ Level 6 or higher.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and clinical governance.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Are you a passionate leader ready to make a real difference? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Person in Charge (PIC) to lead high-quality residential services supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the day-to-day operations of residential services in line with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007
• Driving the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care
• Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and organisational requirements
• Inspiring, supporting, and developing staff teams to thrive
• Building strong relationships with families, multidisciplinary teams, and key stakeholders
• Championing best practice in care planning, risk management, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Nursing Degree with NMBI registration (or eligibility) OR a Level 8 Degree in Social Care
• At least 3 years’ management experience in health or social care
• A recognised management qualification (minimum Level 6 NFQ)
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, person-centred planning, and clinical governance
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland
