Job summary

PE Global (UK) is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) to lead an established Adult Residential Disability Service in Navan, Co. Meath.

The PIC has overall responsibility for the management and effective running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care while supporting and developing the staff team. The role requires QQI Level 7 in Social Care or related Allied Health, at least 3 years in a management or supervisory post, and a Level 6

Qualifications

  • QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or another relevant Allied Healthcare discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within Health or Social Care.
  • A Health or Social Care Management qualification at minimum Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and support the staff team through supervision, appraisals and regular team meetings.
  • Ensure the service operates in line with HIQA standards, legislation and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Promote a high-quality, person-centred service that supports residents to maximise their independence and exercise choice and control in their lives.
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments and health promotion plans are appropriately developed, reviewed and updated.
  • Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with relevant multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support residents to maintain relationships with family and friends and access advocacy and other professional supports where appropriate.
  • Manage and respond appropriately to complaints in line with organisational procedures.
  • Provide strong leadership, mentorship and guidance to staff.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.”],

Job description

What’s on Offer?

€56,000+ DOE, with increments based on scope of role, qualifications and experience
