Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is currently seeking a Person in Charge (PIC) to lead Residential and Respite Services in Tipperary Town, supporting adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.

The role focuses on HIQA compliance, delivering high-quality person-centred care, and leading a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for service users.

Qualifications

  • Must hold QQI Level 8 Honours Degree in Social Care, Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in intellectual disability services.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership/management role within healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
  • Full, clean Irish driving licence and right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of Designated Centres with HIQA compliance.
  • Deliver and continuously improve high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Ensure services meet regulatory, legal, and organisational requirements.
  • Support, mentor, and develop the team while fostering a positive culture.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Services Manager and multi-disciplinary teams.

Person in Charge (PIC) – Residential & Respite Services

Tipperary Town

Cpl Healthcare is currently seeking a Person in Charge (PIC) to lead Residential and Respite Services supporting adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a meaningful leadership role where you can make a real difference—supporting individuals to live as independently as possible, connect with their community, and achieve personal goals through residential, respite, and day services.

Successful Candidate will:

  • Lead the day-to-day running of Designated Centres, ensuring full compliance with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007
  • Deliver and continuously improve high-quality, person-centred care
  • Ensure services meet all regulatory, legal, and organisational requirements
  • Support, mentor, and develop your team while fostering a positive and respectful culture
  • Work closely with the Integrated Services Manager and multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for service users

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A QQI Level 8 Honours Degree in Social Care, Nursing, or a related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in intellectual disability services
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management role within healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and relevant regulations
  • A full, clean Irish driving licence
  • The right to work in Ireland
  • A recognised management qualification (or currently working towards one)
