Job summary

SAP in Ireland is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support Ireland and UK payroll processing and compliance. You will collaborate with P&C, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate payroll deliveries and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities include payroll data review, GL postings, regulatory compliance, and system testing. A degree in accounting/HR/finance and SAP HCM IPP familiarity are preferred, with training available for cross-country payroll tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or related field preferred or equivalent payroll experience
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to support employees and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a team, fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing Irish (and UK) payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Support review of payroll data and help identify discrepancies
• Assist in ensuring accurate payroll postings to the general ledger
• Support compliance with local payroll tax and Social Insurance regulations
• Maintain payroll documentation and control frameworks
• Keep current with legislative and regulatory changes affecting payroll
• Assist with wage reporting, tax filing, and year-end activities
• Respond to routine payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders
• Assist with payroll system updates, testing and enhancements
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
