Job summary

Malone & Co. Accountants is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage client payrolls across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles from our Dublin office.

You will ensure compliance with Irish employment law and Revenue ROS submissions, delivering accurate payroll reports and advising clients on payroll matters. The role requires 2+ years of payroll experience, a payroll or accounting qualification (IPASS preferred), and proficiency with BrightPay/Sage/ADP.

Qualifications

• Payroll or Accounting qualification (IPASS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and tax requirements.
• Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience in an accounting firm or payroll bureau.
• Experience managing multiple client payrolls simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients across weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Ensure compliance with Irish tax regulations, including PAYE, USC, and PRSI calculations.
• Process new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions and salary adjustments.
• Handle statutory leave payments (sick pay, maternity/paternity leave) and redundancy payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of payroll-related taxes to Revenue via ROS.
• Act as the primary payroll contact for multiple clients, addressing payroll queries and providing expert advice.
• Assist clients in understanding payroll legislation, pension schemes, and other statutory obligations.
• Provide guidance on payroll best practices and process improvements.
• Deliver payroll reports and reconciliations as per client requirements.
