Job summary

Accountancy Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payrolls for internal UK and Ireland operations. You will prepare weekly and monthly payroll, review submissions, process journals, and ensure statutory compliance.

The role requires experience processing UK and Ireland payrolls, strong time management, and a proactive approach to system upgrades and process improvements. Fluency in English and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' payroll experience.
• Experience with UK and Ireland payroll processing.
• IPASS qualified or studying toward IPASS (preferred).

Job description

Our client are a leading business in the Construction sector, they are seeking to strenghten their payroll team with a Payroll Specialist who will manage a number of end to end internal payrolls throughout the UK and Ireland.

The role will be responsible for the full payroll process for multiple payrolls internally. Duties will include:

• Prepare weekly and monthly payroll
• Review and confirm payroll submissions
• Process payroll journals and statutory requirements
• Maintaining and developing relationships internally and externally
• Support on project to upgrades to payroll system
• Bank account management
• Bank reconciliations
• Providing payslips
• Producing monthly reports as requested
• Processing starters and leavers
• Dealing with queries
• Adherence to deadlines in the processing and submission of all statutory returns
• Participate in payroll process improvement projects, efficiencies, automation and systems enhancements
• Payroll reconciliations and comparison reports
• Other ad-hoc payroll related duties as required

The ideal candidate:

• Ideally IPASS qualified or working towards
• Must have experience in processing payrolls in both the UK and Ireland
• At least 3 years' payroll experience
• Ability and track record of working to tight deadlines
• Thorough knowledge of Irish payroll processing
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – fully fluent written and spoken English essential
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to take ownership of your role
