Job summary

SAP SE in Ireland is seeking a Payroll Operations Associate to support the execution of Ireland and UK payrolls and related transactions in line with global procedures. You will help ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance with local tax rules.

Working with P&C, Finance, external vendors and staff, you will address payroll inquiries, assist with issue resolution, system updates, and process improvements under guidance from senior team members.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This position supports the execution of Ireland Payroll and UK Payroll and transactions in accordance with documented procedures within the People & Culture Global Service Delivery Organization. This role delivers payroll operations by helping to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory local tax rules.

As part of the P&C organization, this role works closely with P&C stakeholders, Finance, external vendors, and employees to address payroll-related inquiries and support consistent payroll delivery. The position contributes to payroll operations by assisting with issue resolution, supporting system updates, and identifying opportunities to improve processes under guidance from senior team members.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in processingIrish (and UK)payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Support the review of payroll data and help identify discrepancies
  • Assist in ensuring accurate payroll postings to the general ledger
  • Support compliance with and local payroll taxand Social Insuranceregulations
  • Ensure compliance withIreland andUK payroll regulations including Income Tax, National Insurance, pensions, and statutory leave payments.
  • Maintain payroll documentation, standard operating procedures, and control frameworks.
  • Keep current with legislative and regulatory changes affecting payroll.
  • Monitor and escalation payroll issues or discrepancies as appropriate
  • Assist with wage reporting, tax filing, andall regulatoryyear-end activities
  • Respond to routine payroll inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders
  • Support investigation and resolution of payroll discrepancies with guidance from senior team members
  • Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and enhancements
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain and update payroll procedures and documentation
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support smooth payroll operations
  • Support testing activities by executing predefined test cases and documenting results
  • Effectively manage assigned tasks and meet established deadlines
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience inIreland andideally
  • UKpayroll processing or related field
  • Basic understanding ofIreland and UKpayroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with SAPHCMIPP or similar payroll systems preferred
  • Candidates with both Ireland and UK experience are preferred, both not essential as training will be given
  • Experience of working on payroll projects/transformationis preferred
  • Experience and knowledge ofAI and itsadoption is preferred
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field preferredor equivalent payrollexperience,education,e.g.iPass or CIPP.
