Job summary

Sheraton Athlone Hotel is seeking a reliable Part-Time Night Porter to join our Night Team, delivering high standards of cleanliness, safety and guest service during overnight hours. You will maintain public areas, assist with conferencing spaces, support the Night Manager, and participate in weekly deep-cleaning and seasonal outdoor duties.

Prior hospitality or cleaning experience is helpful but training is provided. This role offers €15.73 per hour and 23:00–07:00 shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public areas, guest floors, meeting spaces, lounges, bars, and function spaces.
• Carry out nightly cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, sanitising, waste removal and general housekeeping tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest corridors and public areas.
• Ensure fire exits and emergency routes remain clear and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist with setup, upkeep and presentation of conference and event spaces.
• Support the Night Manager with operational and guest service requirements as needed.
• Complete scheduled weekly deep-cleaning and floor maintenance tasks.
• Maintain outdoor guest areas and rooftop garden spaces during seasonal periods.

Sheraton Athlone Hotel is currently seeking a Part-Time Night Porter to join our Night Team.

This role is ideal for a reliable and hardworking individual who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest service throughout the hotel during overnight hours.

Hours & Salary

• €15.73 per hour
• 23:00 to 07:00
• Primarily Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights
• Flexibility to occasionally work Sunday and/or Thursday nights is required

The Role

As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel’s public areas, meeting spaces, guest facilities, and back‑of‑house areas are maintained to the highest standards throughout the night.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas, guest floors, meeting rooms, lounges, bars, and function spaces.
• Carrying out nightly cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, sanitising, waste removal, and general housekeeping tasks.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively during overnight shifts.
• A professional and dependable approach to work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, facilities, or a similar environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
