Davies in Dublin is seeking an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join the Claims Management team. You will manage motor insurance claims from notification to settlement, delivering excellent customer service while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires assessing liability, gathering documentation and communicating with policyholders and third parties, with settlements negotiated within authority limits.

Qualifications

• Handle motor claims from FNOL to closure.
• Assess liability, coverage, and policy terms.
• Review accident reports, repair estimates, medical reports.
• Communicate with policyholders, third parties, and repair networks.
• Provide timely updates and manage expectations.
• Investigate circumstances and liaise with witnesses.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and internal policies.
• Familiarity with claims systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle motor insurance claims from FNOL through to closure.
• Assess liability, coverage, and policy terms.
• Gather and review documentation (accident reports, repair estimates, medical reports).
• Communicate with policyholders, third parties, and repair networks professionally.
• Provide timely updates and manage expectations throughout the claims process.
• Investigate circumstances of the claim, liaise with witnesses and experts.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Refer complex or high-value claims to senior handlers or team leaders.
