Job summary

Davies in Dublin is seeking an experienced Motor Claims Handler to manage motor insurance claims from notification to settlement, delivering excellent service while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will assess liability and policy terms, gather documentation, communicate with policyholders and repair networks, and escalate complex cases to senior handlers as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in insurance or claims handling preferred.
• Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., CIP) desirable.
• Familiarity with claims management systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle motor insurance claims from FNOL through to closure.
• Assess liability, coverage, and policy terms.
• Gather and review documentation (accident reports, repair estimates, medical reports).
• Communicate with policyholders, third parties, and repair networks professionally.
• Provide timely updates and manage expectations throughout the claims process.
• Investigate circumstances of the claim, liaise with witnesses and experts.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Refer complex or high-value claims to senior handlers or team leaders.
