Job summary

FBD Holdings PLC in Dublin area seeks a part-time Claims Handler to negotiate and settle motor claims within authority limits and service standards, based in Bluebell, Dublin 12 or Mullingar.

Ideal candidate will hold CIP in General Insurance, with at least two years' motor claims experience, and strong interpersonal, numerical and communication skills. A proactive approach supports our customer-focused, compliant claims process.

Qualifications

• Experience handling motor claims and assessing liability and indemnity.
• Strong communication and numerical skills for claims processing.
• Ability to work to service standards and within authority levels.

Responsibilities

• Deal with policy indemnity and liability, closing each claim satisfactorily.
• Establish and maintain adequate claims reserves per policy.
• Ensure best-practice handling, attention to detail, and proactive information gathering.
• Authorize claims payments within approved authority levels.
• Provide technical advice to customers, Loss Adjusters and solicitors.
