Job summary

RECRUITERS is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join a busy insurance claims team. You will manage motor damage claims from notification through to final settlement, ensuring fair handling in line with procedures and service standards.

The role requires hands-on claims handling experience, strong insurance knowledge, and excellent communication skills. You will work within a regulated framework to deliver high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• CIP or equivalent qualification preferred; relevant claims experience also considered.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling and insurance practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage motor damage claims from notification to closure.
• Investigate, assess, negotiate and settle claims efficiently and cost‑effectively.
• Assess policy indemnity and liability and manage reserves.
• Authorise payments within approved authority levels.
• Provide clear guidance to customers and stakeholders on the claims process.
