Job summary

Ballina Credit Union is seeking a proactive Member Service Representative to support daily member transactions and provide excellent service onsite in Ballina, Co. Mayo.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and a strong member‑care ethos, including handling lodgements, withdrawals, and transfers. The successful candidate will work under the Operations Manager, with a focus on timely, friendly customer interactions via phone, email, and in-person channels.

Qualifications

• QFA qualification desirable (or MCC) as per Central Bank requirements.
• Experience in financial services or office administration is desirable.
• Fitness & Probity standards knowledge or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle member accounts and transactions, including lodgements, withdrawals, and transfers.
• Record and reconcile daily cash float transactions and electronic payments.
• Deliver friendly, professional member service via telephone, online, and in‑person channels.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with account openings and reactivation processes.
• Support day-to-day operations under the direction of the Operations Manager.
