Job summary

Listowel Credit Union invites applications for a Member Service Officer on a full-time fixed-term contract until the end of February 2026, with an immediate start available. The role is based in Listowel, with travel to our Ballybunion office as required.

You will process daily financial transactions, handle member queries and provide information to support products and services, ensuring a professional, member-focused experience that drives satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• Hold or be open to completing the Central Bank Minimum Competency Qualification (QFA / CUA Loans).
• Ideally one year of experience in a customer facing environment, preferably in a financial regulated entity.
• Maintain accurate records in line with data policies and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent verbal, numerical and written skills; update member data in line with AML legislation.
• Able to respond to members face to face, on the phone and by email with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class member service in front-line and back-office settings.
• Process day-to-day financial transactions and handle member queries.
• Provide information and support to promote credit union products and services.
• Ensure a professional, member-focused experience that drives satisfaction and retention.
• Travel to Ballybunion office as required; report to the Member Service Manager.
