Job summary

ICE Jobs is assisting a Galway-based Credit Union to recruit a Member Services Officer for a temporary full-time role. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality member service, handle cash, support loan applications, and maintain accurate member records.

The role requires front-line experience in financial services, excellent communication skills, and good IT proficiency with MS Office. The position includes a Monday-Saturday 35.5 hour week and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a front-line role within a credit union, bank, financial institution, or customer service environment.
• Relevant qualification such as QFA, APA, CUA, Pathways Diploma, or willingness to work towards.
• Cash handling experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line services to members, including lodgements, withdrawals, loan repayments, and enquiries.
• Handle cash accurately and reconcile cash balances daily.
• Advise members on the range of products and services offered.
• Support members through loan applications and obtain documentation.
• Maintain accurate member information and records.
