Job summary

Stryker is offering a placement in Cork where you will conduct testing on medical device products and components using automated, semi-automated and manual methods. You’ll work with mentors within Stryker’s cooperative program and contribute to FDA-compliant test procedures throughout a 6, 9, or 12 month duration.

You will gain hands-on experience across R&D, quality operations and production environments, with flexible working hours and strong career development support.

Qualifications

  • Currently completing an Irish or Northern Irish university qualification in Engineering courses.
  • Strong visual acuity and fine motor skills; able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies.
  • Able to analyze and address complex testing or systems issues with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify a process improvement project with objectives, scope, milestones and metrics.
  • Support R&D, Advanced Operations and Global Quality in development and verification testing.
  • Develop and coordinate inspection and testing procedures for prototypes and products.
  • Formulate test guidelines and revise specifications as needed.
  • Set up and perform experiments compliant with FDA requirements and engineering standards.
  • Extract and process test data into formal reports meeting regulatory expectations.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining test equipment and lab fixtures.
  • Adhere to documentation procedures and maintain clean lab standards.
  • Coordinate with facilities for equipment maintenance.
  • Demonstrate dependability, initiative, and teamwork in a dynamic environment.
