Job summary

Stryker is offering a placement role based at our Cork sites, where you will perform testing on medical device products and components using automated, semi-automated and manual methods. You will follow test protocols and report results in written and verbal form, evaluate data, and help ensure product performance meets standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently completing an Irish or Northern Irish university qualification in Engineering.
  • Excellent observation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyze complex testing issues with independent judgment.
  • Strong integrity and compliance with quality systems and policies.
  • Motivated, flexible, hardworking and a team player.
  • Good verbal and written communication; basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

  • Test devices and components using automated, semi-automated and manual methods.
  • Develop and coordinate inspection and testing procedures for prototypes and products.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining sampling systems and testing mechanisms.
  • Prepare written and verbal test results; ensure compliance with FDA requirements.
  • Support R&D, Advanced Operations and Global Quality Operations on testing.
  • Maintain lab documentation and housekeeping to high standards.
  • Coordinate with facilities and maintain test equipment and fixtures.
  • Engage in process improvement projects with milestones and metrics.
  • Demonstrate dependability, initiative, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
