Job summary

Qualifications

  • Currently completing an Irish or Northern Irish university qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical).
  • Strong visual acuity and fine motor skills with ability to detect minute inconsistencies.
  • Ability to analyze and correct complex testing issues using independent judgment.
  • Honesty, integrity and compliance with quality systems and policies.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and hardworking in a dynamic environment.
  • Team player within a multi-disciplined team and strong communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and basic PC skills.
  • Interest in Engineering and eagerness to learn and develop.
  • Available for 6, 9 or 12 months with start date discussed with Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Identify a process improvement project with objectives, scope, milestones and evaluation metrics.
  • Provide support to R&D, Advanced Operations and Global Quality Operations on development and verification testing.
  • Develop and coordinate inspection and testing procedures for prototypes, components and products.
  • Formulate test guidelines and revise specifications where necessary.
  • Set up and perform routine to non-routine experiments compliant with FDA requirements and engineering standards.
  • Extract and process test data/findings into formal written and verbal reports.
  • Assist in designing, installing and maintaining process sampling systems, procedures, statistical techniques, testing mechanisms, equipment and fixtures.
  • Maintain test laboratory housekeeping standards to the highest level.
  • Coordinate with facilities and assist in maintenance of test equipment and lab fixtures.
  • Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, initiative, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
