Job summary

Stryker Cork offers a placement-based role focused on testing medical device products and components using automated, semi-automated, and manual methods. You will follow test request protocols and report results in writing and verbally, evaluating product performance and data.

As part of the 2026 Cooperative cohort, you will contribute to R&D, Advanced Operations and Global Quality Operations, developing testing procedures and ensuring FDA-compliant practices in a collaborative, mentor-guided

Qualifications

  • Currently completing an Irish or Northern Irish university qualification in Engineering, including Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Very good visual acuity and fine motor skills; observe and correct minute inconsistencies.
  • Able to analyze and correct complex testing/systems issues using independent judgment.
  • Honesty and integrity; comply with quality system and company policies.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and hardworking; a team player in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; basic PC skills.
  • Available for 6, 9 or 12 months; duration and start date to be discussed with Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Identify a process improvement project with objectives, scope, milestones and metrics.
  • Support R&D, Advanced Operations and Global Quality Operations on testing and verification.
  • Develop and coordinate inspection and testing procedures for prototypes and products.
  • Formulate test guidelines and revise specifications as needed.
  • Set up and perform routine to non-routine experiments meeting FDA requirements and standards.
  • Extract and process test data into formal written and verbal reports.
  • Assist in designing, installing and maintaining sampling systems, procedures and fixtures.
  • Maintain documentation procedures and test lab housekeeping to the highest level.
  • Coordinate with facilities and maintain test equipment and fixtures.
  • Be dependable, initiative-taking, hardworking and a team-player.
