Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Ireland is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead procurement and bid management for a three-year program of small construction projects. Expect 20–30 projects with values ranging from €5k to €5m.

You will develop project cost proposals, benchmark against market data, and negotiate terms with contractors to ensure value for money. The role requires advanced Excel, strong English communication, excellent numeracy, and a proven ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 3–5 years’ experience developing cost proposals for multiple construction projects.
• 3–5 years’ experience on fast-track office fit-out, refurbishment and M&E upgrade projects.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing projects is an advantage.
• Experience dealing with general finance management is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving and client relationship skills.
• Excellent numerical, commercial and financial acumen.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.
• Advanced Excel, Word & PowerPoint; MS Project knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with subcontractors and clients.
• Client-focused with ability to align with client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and bid management for a 3-year program of construction projects.
• Ensure Costs of Works are at or below market rates.
• Project cost estimating and contractor selection.
• Contractor bidding, procurement, and Change Order management.
• Budget development and value-for-money proofs.
• Present budgets and fee proposals to clients.
• Negotiate terms and manage contractor invoices.
• Maintain online governance KPI data.
• Develop strong relationships with client, procurement and project managers.
• Analyse bid pricing against SOR, LPP, and benchmarks.
