Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Dublin is seeking an Associate Hydraulic Modeller to lead major hydraulic modelling and flood risk projects across Ireland and the UK. You will oversee technical work, mentor junior modellers and contribute to proposals, while maintaining strong client relations.

The role requires a strong background in TUFLOW (ESTRY) and Flood Modeller, GIS proficiency, and chartered status or active Chartership. Hybrid and remote options are available alongside a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Eight years’ experience in hydraulic modelling and flood risk.
• Strong track record leading and reviewing modelling projects.
• Chartered status or actively pursuing Chartership; full Irish driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex hydraulic modelling and flood risk projects.
• Provide technical review and oversight of modelling work.
• Deliver projects from planning through to detailed design.
• Work with TUFLOW, including ESTRY, and Flood Modeller.
• Manage projects, clients and key stakeholders.
• Support proposals and business development.
• Mentor and develop less experienced modellers.
• Collaborate across flood risk, water quality and environmental modelling.
