Job summary
Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Modeller in Cork to lead hydraulic modelling and flood risk studies across diverse sectors. The role combines hands-on modelling with project delivery responsibility, client liaison and technical review.
You will use TUFLOW (ESTRY) and Flood Modeller, plus GIS, to deliver planning through detailed design, with opportunities for mentoring and career development. Hybrid/remote options are available in Ireland and the UK.
Qualifications
- 5+ years delivering hydraulic modelling projects in Ireland and/or the UK.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership.
Responsibilities
- Lead hydraulic modelling and flood risk studies.
- Deliver projects from planning through detailed design.
- Manage projects, clients and key stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports and present modelling findings.
- Mentor less experienced modellers.
- Contribute to proposals and wider project opportunities.
- Occasional site visits across Ireland and the UK.
