Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Cork is seeking an Associate Hydraulic Modeller to lead major hydraulic modelling and flood risk studies from planning through detailed design, while mentoring the team.

You will work with TUFLOW (ESTRY) and Flood Modeller, oversee project delivery, manage clients and stakeholders, and contribute to proposals and business development.

Hybrid, flexible and remote options are available, with opportunities to work on projects across Ireland, the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

8+ years' experience in hydraulic modelling and flood risk.
Strong track record leading and reviewing modelling projects.
Advanced experience with TUFLOW (ESTRY) and Flood Modeller.
GIS proficiency and knowledge of Irish planning standards.

Responsibilities

Leading complex hydraulic modelling and flood risk projects
Technical review and oversight of modelling work
Delivering projects from planning through to detailed design
Working with TUFLOW, including ESTRY, and Flood Modeller
Managing projects, clients and key stakeholders
Supporting proposals and business development
Mentoring and developing less experienced modellers
Working across flood risk, water quality and environmental modelling
Occasional site visits across Ireland and the UK
