Job summary
Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Cork is seeking a Project Hydraulic Modeller with 3+ years of hydraulic modelling experience to take ownership of projects. You will deliver hydraulic modelling and flood risk studies, using TUFLOW (ESTRY), Flood Modeller and QGIS, and support planning through detailed design while liaising with stakeholders.
The role offers hybrid and remote working options, with a salary of €45,000-€55,000 plus discretionary bonus, pension, private medical insurance and 25 days'
Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience delivering hydraulic modelling projects within Ireland and/or the UK.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience with TUFLOW including ESTRY and Flood Modeller.
- GIS capability and understanding of flood risk and hydraulic modelling.
Responsibilities
- Deliver hydraulic modelling and flood risk studies.
- Interpreting modelling outputs and preparing technical reports.
- Supporting projects from planning through to detailed design.
- Liaising with stakeholders and managing elements of project delivery.
- Occasional site visits across Ireland and the UK.
- Assist senior colleagues on complex modelling studies.
