Job summary

FBD Holdings PLC is seeking a Commercial Business Underwriting Team Leader to drive growth across Commercial SME, Property and Liability lines. You will report to the Commercial Underwriting Manager and lead a skilled team to deliver profitable outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to coordinate with Sales Branches, Brokers, and Claims. A CIP and substantial commercial underwriting experience are essential.

Qualifications

Professional insurance qualification CIP required.
Minimum 3 years relevant Commercial Experience.
Strong technical knowledge of commercial property and liability underwriting.

Responsibilities

Support achievement of profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan.
Support and implement FBD Strategy in Commercial Business Underwriting.
Develop and implement service level agreements to ensure excellent service to FBD Sales Branches and Broker panel.
Provide technical referral support on technical queries.
Implement QA measures to ensure underwriting standards are met.
Administer and report on underwriting strategies and objectives.
Manage team performance to meet objectives.
Ensure staff training and development to optimise performance.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Support team in both operational and technical environments.
