Job summary

FBD Holdings plc is seeking a Commercial Business Underwriting Team Leader to drive profitability and service quality across Commercial SME, Property and Liability lines. The role reports to the Commercial Underwriting Manager and focuses on coaching, performance management and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have CIP qualification, a minimum of 3 years in Commercial underwriting, and proven ability to lead a team in a target-driven environment, while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of underwriting teams.
• Strong experience in commercial property and liability underwriting.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan.
• Develop and implement service level agreements for branches and broker panels.
• Provide technical referral support to Sales and Claims teams.
• Implement underwriting strategies and monitor execution against objectives.
• Manage team performance and drive development and training.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality underwriting standards.
• Lead with a coaching mindset to empower staff.
