FBD Holdings PLC is seeking a Commercial Business Underwriting Team Leader to drive growth across Commercial SME, Property and Liability lines. You will report to the Commercial Underwriting Manager and lead a skilled team to deliver profitable outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to coordinate with Sales Branches, Brokers, and Claims. A CIP and substantial commercial underwriting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional insurance qualification CIP required.
• Minimum 3 years relevant Commercial Experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property and liability underwriting.

Responsabilités

• Support achievement of profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan.
• Support and implement FBD Strategy in Commercial Business Underwriting.
• Develop and implement service level agreements to ensure excellent service to FBD Sales Branches and Broker panel.
• Provide technical referral support on technical queries.
• Implement QA measures to ensure underwriting standards are met.
• Administer and report on underwriting strategies and objectives.
• Manage team performance to meet objectives.
• Ensure staff training and development to optimise performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support team in both operational and technical environments.

FBD’s strategy includes the objective to profitably grow our Commercial Lines Business.

We are seeking to appoint a Commercial Business Underwriting Team Leader to support the continued growth of our Commercial Business across Commercial SME , Property and Liability lines of business.

Job Responsibilities

Working closely with and reporting to the Commercial Underwriting Manager the successful person will be results and service focused and key responsibilities will include;

• Support achievement of profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan.
• Support and implement FBD Strategy in Commercial Business Underwriting.
• Develop and implement overall service level agreements to ensure excellent service is provided to FBD Sales Branches and our Broker panel.
• Provide technical referral support to the team, Sales and Claims colleagues on technical queries.
• Implementing and report on quality assurance measures to ensure business is underwritten to the required standards.
• Implement, administer, and report to relevant stakeholders on underwriting strategies and objectives.
• Manage the performance of the team to support achievement of objectives.
• Ensure staff receive the appropriate training and development to optimise performance.
• Ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
• Ability to manage and support a team in both operational and technical environments.

Education

Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP).

A minimum of 3 years relevant Commercial Experience
