Job summary

FBD Holdings PLC in Ireland seeks an Underwriting Team Lead to drive profitability in the Commercial & Fleet lines. You will lead a team of underwriters, set strategy with the Commercial Underwriting Manager, and coordinate with Sales and Claims to maintain service levels.

Key qualifications include CIP and at least 5 years of relevant experience. The role emphasizes leadership, technical underwriting knowledge, and strong communication in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Professional insurance qualification CIP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan.
• Support and implement underwriting strategies for Commercial & Fleet.
• Develop and implement service level agreements with Sales Branches and Brokers.
• Provide technical referral support to Sales and Claims teams on queries.
• Implement quality assurance to ensure underwriting standards.
• Administer and report underwriting strategies and objectives to stakeholders.
• Manage team performance to achieve objectives.
• Ensure staff training and development to optimise performance.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Lead and support the team in both operational and technical environments.
