Job summary

Aramark Ireland is looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team in Ireland. The role focuses on upholding high hygiene standards and supporting day-to-day kitchen operations.

You will assist with food storage, delivery checks, cleaning duties and proper storage of items while ensuring HACCP guidelines are followed. Flexibility in hours and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential for this position. Training on food safety practices and equipment handling will be provided.

Qualifications

• A keen interest in food and service.
• Flexibility in hours of work.
• The ability to work on own initiative.
• A good knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular HACCP regulations
• Checking in of food deliveries ensuring that only the highest standard of produce is accepted into the units.
• Ensuring that all food storage complies with food hygiene regulations and that FIFO stock rotation system is being followed
• Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture
• Correct storage of food items and equipment after service
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance and uniform to company regulations at all times
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
• Be aware of safety hazards within the kitchen and surrounding areas and to report them to your line manager
• Other duties assigned by your line manager from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.
