Job summary

Aramark Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team in Cork. This full-time position offers a 39-hour work week across 5 days. Candidates should be flexible, as shifts may vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations (HACCP).
• Check food deliveries for quality standards.

• Perform cleaning duties and preparation of service areas.
• Store food items correctly after service.
• Monitor food and equipment temperatures.
• Report kitchen hazards to the line manager.
• Assist in other kitchen tasks during quieter periods.

Job description

Aramark are looking for Kitchen Porters to join our team on our client site based in Cork. This is a full-time position, where successful candidates will work 5 days out of 7, on a full-time 39 hour per week contract. We require fully flexible team members willing to join our team as shifts may vary depending on business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular HACCP regulations
• Checking in of food deliveries ensuring that only the highest standard of produce is accepted into the units.
• Ensuring that all food storage complies with food hygiene regulations and that F.I.F.O stock rotation system is being followed
• Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture
• Preparation of service area and/or service points
• Correct storage of food items and equipment after service
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance and uniform to company regulations at all times
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company's health and safety policy
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
• Assist in other unit kitchen onsite during quieter periods in hospitality
• Be aware of safety hazards within the kitchen and surrounding areas and to report them to your line manager
• Other duties assigned by your line manager from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.
