Job summary

Aramark Ireland is seeking Kitchen Porters to join our team at a client site in Cork City. This is a full-time role, 39 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 with shifts that may vary according to business needs.

Ideal candidates will have a keen interest in food and service, a good knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene, and a strong command of English. Prior experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, HACCP included.
• Checking in of food deliveries to ensure high-quality produce.
• Ensuring storage complies with food hygiene and FIFO rotation.
• Cleaning duties associated with service and equipment.
• Preparation of service area and service points.
• Correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance and uniform to company regulations.
• Comply with health and safety policy and promote it.
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
• Assist in other unit kitchen onsite during quieter periods.
• Report safety hazards to line manager.
• Other duties to ensure smooth operation of the department.

Aramark are looking for Kitchen Porters to join our team on our client site based in Cork City. This is a full-time position, where successful candidates will work 5 days out of 7, on a full-time 39 hour per week contract. We require fully flexible team members willing to join our team as shifts may vary depending on business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular HACCP regulations
• Checking in of food deliveries ensuring that only the highest standard of produce is accepted into the units.
• Ensuring that all food storage complies with food hygiene regulations and that F.I.F.O stock rotation system is being followed
• Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture
• Preparation of service area and/or service points
• Correct storage of food items and equipment after service
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance and uniform to company regulations at all times
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company's health and safety policy
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
• Assist in other unit kitchen onsite during quieter periods in hospitality
• Be aware of safety hazards within the kitchen and surrounding areas and to report them to your line manager
• Other duties assigned by your line manager from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.
