Job summary

Ergo IT Recruitment Services is seeking an IT Support Engineer for a contract opportunity with a well-known Pharmaceutical client in Dublin 15. This onsite role requires providing break/fix troubleshooting, configuration, deployment and testing to keep the internal IT infrastructure reliable.

You will support local users in an Office 365 environment, work with remote teams, and occasionally travel to regional sites where own transport is required. This is an onsite role with long-term potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in break/fix troubleshooting and deployment.
• Pharma/GxP environment desirable.
• Available for onsite work five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform escalated deskside support and systems administration for Azure/M365 users.
• Troubleshoot to identify root causes and reassign accordingly.
• Act as local hands and eyes to remote teams and check devices and cables.
• Log and track issues with end users and IT teams.
• Hardware break/fix support and vendor coordination for equipment.
• Assist with IT clinics and floor walks.
• Asset management.
• Participate in device deployment for new starters.
• Support PC refreshes and IT project implementations.

Ergo are seeking an IT Support Engineer for a contract opportunity with a well-known Pharmaceutical client in Dublin 15.

The successful IT Support Engineer will be responsible for break/fix troubleshooting, systems configuration, deployment and testing while ensuring the reliability of internal IT infrastructure.

You will also provide local hands and eyes assistance to remote support groups in order to help resolve IT issues for local users in an Office 365 environment. You will also occasionally travel to regional sites so own transport is required.

This is an onsite role with long-term potential.

What will you do?

• Perform escalated deskside support and systems administration to users on Azure / M365 stack
• Use troubleshooting skills and knowledge to determine the root cause of a fault to resolve or re-assign to the correct team.
• Act as local hands and eyes to other remote support group which includes checking devices, warning lights, reseating cables.
• Log and track all issues ensuring ongoing communications with end user and IT team
• Hardware Break/Fix assistance and vendor management and support for computers supporting tooling machines and other special equipment.
• Support IT drop-in clinics and assist with floor walks when required.

• Contribute to the development of technical procedures and standards to meet business and customer requirements.

What experience do you need?

• Hardware support and deployment
• Previous experience in a Pharma or GxP environment is desirable
