Job summary

Project Foundry Resourcing Services is seeking an experienced Level 3 IT Support Engineer / Systems Engineer for a Cork-based, on-site role. Responsibilities

• Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and support issues.
• Provide Level 3 support across cloud, server, virtualisation, networking and Microsoft technologies.
• Troubleshoot issues with customers and recommend improvements to their IT environments.
• Support design, implementation and ongoing improvement of infrastructure solutions.
• Work with internal teams to ensure delivery of issues and projects.
• Mentor and support junior engineers with technical issues and ticket management.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and root cause analysis.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Assist with infrastructure migrations, upgrades and transformation projects.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors when required.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Level 3 IT Support Engineer / Systems Engineer to join a technical services team based in Cork.

This is a senior hands-on infrastructure role combining complex technical support, escalation management and infrastructure delivery. You will work across Microsoft cloud technologies, virtualisation, Windows Server and enterprise networking, while also supporting junior engineers and contributing to the design and improvement of customer environments.

The role would suit someone with a strong MSP, managed services or multi-customer infrastructure background who is comfortable taking ownership of technically challenging issues.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and support issues.

• Provide Level 3 support across cloud, server, virtualisation, networking and Microsoft technologies.

• Work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements to their IT environments.

• Support the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of infrastructure solutions.

• Work closely with internal technical, project and service delivery teams to ensure issues and projects are delivered effectively.

• Mentor and support junior engineers with technical issues, troubleshooting approaches and ticket management.
