Job summary

SureLogik seeks an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team in Ireland. You will provide first-line IT support to office-based and remote users, work across multiple sites, and contribute to the administration of Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, and security tooling.

You will develop skills in systems administration, networking, and infrastructure, with exposure to Hyper‑V, backups, and disaster recovery, while delivering high-quality user support and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years IT support or systems administration experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Entra ID
• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs
• Experience with Active Directory and user administration
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
• Experience with Hyper‑V virtualization
• Exposure to Cisco networking, SonicWall firewalls, or Veeam backup solutions
• Structured cabling knowledge and basic scripting (PowerShell)
• Familiarity with macOS and Linux environments

Our client is a well-established Irish consultancy seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid IT support background who is looking to develop their systems administration, networking, and infrastructure skills in a hands-on environment.

Working closely with the ICT Manager, you'll provide support across multiple sites while contributing to the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organisation's technology estate.

• Experience administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Entra ID.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Experience with Active Directory and user administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel to other sites when required.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or similar certifications.
• Experience with Hyper‑V virtualisation.
• Exposure to Cisco networking, SonicWall firewalls, or Veeam backup solutions.
• Experience with structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6).
• Basic PowerShell or Bash scripting knowledge.
• Familiarity with macOS and Linux environments.
