Job summary

CompuStaff Group is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 / IT Support Engineer to join its managed IT and cloud services team. You will work with business customers to support and optimize their Microsoft 365 environments while developing cloud and security skills.

The role covers troubleshooting, user administration, and implementing security configurations across Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Defender. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Proven IT support experience in a business environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID) and security settings.
• Good communication skills and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 / IT Support Engineer

Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer looking to develop your skills across Microsoft 365, cloud technologies and IT security?

An established IT services provider is expanding its managed IT and Microsoft cloud team and is looking for an engineer to support a growing portfolio of business customers. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to build on your existing technical experience, get involved in customer projects and develop your Microsoft expertise.

The Role

You will provide technical support to business customers, help maintain their Microsoft 365 environments and assist with infrastructure, cloud and security projects. You will work directly with customers, troubleshoot issues and contribute to improving your IT systems, with support from an experienced technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to business customers, resolving a range of IT issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Intune.
• Assist with Microsoft security configuration, including MFA, Conditional Access and Defender.
• Troubleshoot networking, connectivity and general infrastructure issues.
• Help assess customer environments and implement recommended improvements.
• Support the delivery of Microsoft 365, cloud, security and infrastructure projects.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

What You Will Need

• Proven experience in IT support within a business environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, ideally including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID.
• Experience with user administration, Microsoft security settings and troubleshooting.
• A solid understanding of networking and general IT infrastructure.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• The ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support.
• A full, clean driving licence valid in Ireland.
