Hamilton Barnes in Dublin seeks an IT Support Specialist to drive service delivery, assist clients remotely and on-site, and manage cloud and security workloads.

The role covers Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, networking, and firewall/VPN administration, with on-site visits and advisory mentoring for clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID in enterprise environments.
• Strong Windows Server and deskside support capabilities.
• Networking and firewall management experience is required.
• Ability to provide remote and on-site technical support to clients.

Responsibilities

• Handle the project and support queues, ensuring quick, correct responses.
• Directly assist clients and act as the main escalation point for issues.
• Support a growing customer base remotely and in-person.
• Be the first contact for customer technical queries and issues.
• Provide technical advice and mentoring to clients as needed.
• Perform on-site visits to deliver services when required.
• Maintain and improve client infrastructure, including Azure, M365, networking and security.
• Oversee firewall and VPN configurations for secure connectivity.
• Manage and renew warranties on critical IT components.
• Lead cloud migrations from on-prem to cloud environments.
• Configure Azure compute builds, Site-to-Site VPNs and Azure SQL databases.
• Roll out MDM using Microsoft InTune.
• Build SharePoint sites and advise end users on best practices.
• Deploy Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365.
• Install SonicWALL firewalls, establish VPNs, and manage connectivity.
• Deploy SonicWAVE Wireless Access Points.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for handling the project and support service request queues, ensuring support requests are answered quickly and correctly
• In many cases, addressing and supporting clients directly and acting as the main point of escalation for customers
• Support the growing customer base, remotely and in-person
• First point of contact for customer technical queries and issues
• Providing technical advice and mentoring to clients where required
• Calling out to customers to deliver on-site technical services
• Regularly review the service request queue to determine where escalation is needed, or tickets can be closed
• Maintain and improve internal and client infrastructure, including cloud environments (Azure, Microsoft 365), networking, and security
• Oversee firewall and VPN configurations, ensuring secure and optimized connectivity for clients
• Managing and renewing warranties on critical IT client components

• Azure Compute Builds - Setting up virtual servers in Azure, Configuring Site-To-Site VPNs, Provisioning Azure SQL Databases, Azure Active Directory
