Job summary

Ergo IT Recruitment Services seeks an IT Manager in South Dublin to blend strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will lead the IT function, manage a €2 million budget and oversee Service Desk, ERP systems and cloud security.

The role requires experience with SAP, M365, Power Platform and a strong cyber security mindset, along with involvement in acquisitions and AI initiatives. Hybrid work offered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT teams and delivering programmes.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, suppliers and contracts.
• Expertise in ERP environments, especially SAP.
• Strong cyber security, governance, and modern workplace tech.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud deployments.
• Experience supporting SAP or other major ERP environments.
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform is a plus.
• AI-enabled business solutions experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technology leadership as a member of the Senior Management Team.
• Build and lead IT team of 10 professionals, creating a culture of service excellence, accountability and proactive business partnering.
• Own and manage the annual IT operating budget of approximately €2 million.
• Manage key technology suppliers and service providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and value for money.
• Own the delivery, support and continuous improvement of the company's business applications, including SAP, SAP CRM, SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, QlikView and Esker.
• Ensure the availability, performance and security of all IT infrastructure (Microsoft Azure), networks, end-user computing and service desk operations.
• Maintain and continuously improve the organisation's cyber security, governance and compliance framework.
• Support the company's acquisition strategy by conducting IT due diligence and leading post‑acquisition systems integration.
• Develop and execute the organisation's AI strategy and innovation framework.

Ergo are seeking an IT Manager for an exciting opportunity with a long-term client in South Dublin seeking an experienced professional who can combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery.

The successful candidate will have a background in ERP systems, M365 collaboration tools, cloud implementation, IT Security and process automation.

This is a diverse role where you will serve as Head of the IT function which includes leading the Service Desk, budgeting and representing the IT function at C-suite.

This is a permanent, hybrid position with strong salary and package (bonus, pension etc.)

What will you do?

What do you need?

• IT leadership with a strong track record in operations and programme delivery.
• Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets, suppliers and contracts.
• Deep expertise in one or more technology disciplines (Software Dev, Infra / Cloud Support, IT Security, etc.), supported by broad IT knowledge.
• Strong understanding of cyber security, governance and modern workplace technologies.
• Experience managing costs, operations and compliance infrastructure deployed to Microsoft Azure
• Experience implementing, supporting or managing SAP or other major ERP environments.
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Automate, Apps or BI) an advantage
• Experience delivering AI-enabled business solutions highly desirable
• Experience supporting business acquisitions and systems integration highly desirable
