Job summary

Quest Recruitment is seeking an experienced Supervisor – Investor Relations to join a leading financial services organisation specialising in fund administration and alternative investments. You will take ownership of a portfolio of private equity and hedge fund clients and lead a small team of administrators.

The role emphasizes client service, accuracy, and proactive communication with investors, along with maintaining records, processing subscriptions and transfers, and supporting auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in investor relations, preferably with private equity/hedge funds.
• Strong Excel and Word; solid client and investor communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day administration across hedge funds and private equity funds.
• Lead and develop a small team of administrators.
• Act as a point of contact for clients and investors across your portfolio.
• Maintain shareholder registers and perform transfer agency activities.
• Process subscriptions, redemptions and transfers.
• Communicate directly with investors and respond to investor-related queries.
• Process payments and other investor transactions accurately and timely.
• Deliver investor-related services on behalf of investment fund clients.
• Ensure client and investor expectations are met, adhering to fund rules and representations.
• Maintain accurate investor and transaction records; manage filing systems.
• Update investor records on transfer agency systems and perform database updates.
• Assist auditors, fund participants, advisers and stakeholders as required.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investor relations professional to take ownership of a portfolio of private equity and hedge fund clients, while leading and developing a small team of senior and junior administrators.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day administration and delivery of services in line with client administration agreements across a portfolio of hedge funds and private equity funds.
• Lead, support and develop a small team of senior and junior administrators.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients across your portfolio, building strong and effective working relationships.
• Maintain shareholder registers and perform transfer agency activities.
• Process and confirm subscriptions, redemptions and transfers.
• Communicate directly with investors and respond to investor-related queries.
• Process payments and other investor transactions accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Deliver a full range of investor-related services on behalf of investment fund clients.
• Ensure client and investor expectations are consistently met, while adhering to fund rules, requirements and representations.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive investor and transaction records.
• Manage filing systems to ensure documentation and records are maintained efficiently and accurately.
• Update investor records on transfer agency systems and carry out periodic database updates and maintenance.
• Assist auditors, fund participants, advisers and other relevant stakeholders as required.

About You

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience within an investor relations environment, ideally with exposure to private equity and/or hedge funds.
• A strong interest in financial markets and the alternative investment industry.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, investors and colleagues.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Experience in leading, mentoring or supporting junior team members would be advantageous.
